At this year’s LLB Expo in Stockholm, SGM debuted its keenly-anticipated product line in front of an eager Swedish audience.
Between April 23-25, the leading audio, video and lighting fair in the Nordic region was attended by nearly 4,500 professionals. As a biannual event, many were looking forward to seeing the innovations being presented at LLB.
MD of SGM Sweden, Mikael Uddh, quickly sensed the high level of interest surrounding the SGM booth. “Previously SGM has been largely invisible in the Swedish market, so it was great to make a statement here — to show that we’re back in business!” he comments.
With practically the entire new SGM range represented at the expo, the feedback was overwhelming. There was only one thing missing — which was proving the talk of the crowd — The G-Spot.
The combination of rumours, and the video of last month’s outstanding product launch at Prolight+Sound Show in Frankfurt, had created an unprecedented buzz and curiosity level.
CEO of SGM, Peter Johansen, adds: “We are delighted with the high demand for our new IP-rated moving head. The many requests and the momentum from the market simply substantiate my claim that this product is what has been missing in the industry”. Keeping pace with the demand has been a challenge, but soon the G-Spot will make its debut in Sweden as well.
It is a territory in which Mikael Uddh has no time to be idle. Having concluded one trade show, he immediately packed his bags for PLASA Focus:Backstage Malmö, with the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in mind; this will showcase a great many of SGM products, both on the main stage and in the Euro Village.
“With the product range SGM is launching, and the service and support they are providing, I’m confident of being able to meet all future demands”, concludes Mikael Uddh.
