In Kaunas, Lithuania, lies a beautiful Roman Catholic church name St. Michael the Archangel’s Church constructed in the 19th century conveying an unusual architectural style mixing the neo-Byzantine five-dome design with the columns of the Corinthian architecture. Its proximity to the main pedestrian street make it well-visited by the public of Lithuania’s second-largest city.
SGM’s partner in Lithuania, event and rental company Leggato, works in many areas of the lighting business from organization and design over installation and production to technical support. They have carried out a stunning lighting event for St. Michael the Archangel’s Church, which according to Leggato called upon “not only the need of modern LED lighting technology, but also creative design skills.”
Illuminating the church from the ground up the pillars and over the arcs and the roof domes, Leggato deployed the P-5 wash light and its smaller sister the P-2 from SGM to accomplish this amazing vision. Thus, this sacred building in Kaunas was soon transformed into a colourful palette of artwork.
