At a large scale gathering at the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel prior to the opening of the 2017 Prolight+Sound exhibition, SGM Light A/S officially launched the SGM Architectural Division. Following the introduction of the latest SGM product novelties, the participants from all over the world were introduced to the SGM Architectural Strategy which described in-depth the reasoning why and how such a division will impact SGM Light’s global presence.
Judging from the high attendance, immediate response and subsequent interest, the SGM Architectural Division was extremely well received. SGM Light already holds a powerful palette of IP66-rated LED products designed for POI (permanent outdoor installations) which will continue to expand.
Peter Johansen, CEO of SGM Light, says:
“I truly see SGM as a global market leader not only in the entertainment industry, but also within the emerging architectural market for LED dynamic lighting. The fast-growing demand for SGM POI products already speaks its own language, substantiating our decision of establishing a dedicated SGM Architectural Division.”
The new permanent outdoor installation products from SGM are based on the familiar standard SGM fixtures with the same optical performance and electrical components, offering the same brightness and power in colors, but optimized for permanent outdoor installations with a resilient housing to protect them. Engineered to endure even the most extreme weather conditions, the POIs take on rainy days, icy winters, dusty winds, extreme heat and salty sprays of seawater – eliminating the need to shield off the fixtures to protect them from the elements. The sleek Danish product design and lightweight construction accommodate the high aesthetic standards of architects and designers.
Immediate support of the new division
The decision to launch the SGM Architectural Division was reinforced straightaway, when architectural lighting expert Venuetech LLC signed contract with SGM Light at Prolight+Sound 2017.
Elie Kheirallah, Technical Director of Venuetech, says:
“I have previously cooperated with Peter Johansen and together we developed the largest architectural distribution in the Middle East. SGM has the most comprehensive product program with the ideal products to repeat the success.”
Peter Johansen, CEO of SGM, says:
“This new division is a natural expansion of our business as we continue to grow and it has been launched to lead our innovative products to the global market inspiring designers and architects to create astonishing lighting concepts. Joining forces once again with Venuetech is a great step towards cementing a number one position for architectural lighting in the Middle East.”
