Regional Sales Manager – Rental, Northeast USA

We are now looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager - Rental to join our established SGM US division. You will be leading the sales to the rental and production companies for one of the fastest growing companies in the industry. This position will offer unique opportunities with accountability for growth and sales of SGM’s products, services and solutions in specific areas. This critical role requires a customer-focused, results-oriented, energetic sales leader with a passion for the job and the skills to deliver exceptional results and scale the business. The Regional Sales Manager has a crucial role in providing customer and designer feedback and helps drive the direct of further business growth. As well as maintain and establishes important relationships that directly drive growth in the region. You should have an open eye for cost optimizing processes and have a problem-solving approach to the customers’ requests. Thought you'll be part of a team, you'll be able to prioritize and work to your own initiative including during stressful periods. The role will incorporate (but is not limited to) the following key responsibilities:

  •  Establish SGM within the Northeast Rental & Production market by managing the company’s relationships with the key accounts and the key specifiers/lighting designers.
  •  Identify and contact potential customers or prospects, either existing or new.
  •  Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through increased availability/ access, timely communication, and following up on accounts. This also includes having an in-depth knowledge of customer’s organization, a mutually trusting relationship and an account dedication.
  •  Constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks.
  •  Take responsibility for a superior working knowledge of past and current SGM products and accessories as well as product families.
  •  Fulfill timely reporting of sales activities and monthly budget figures on a daily/ weekly basis.
  •  Promote the SGM brand rather than the product line.

Personal skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales management success in the US lighting rental industry (or substantial experience in live production sales management)
  • Great analytic skills; perform active listening
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Live production/Broadcast work preferred
