This thermal management techonology provides Advaced Temperature Control monitored via sensors and software, keeping optimal LED junction temperatures, and ensuring maximum reliability for long-term use. The ThermalDriveTM system includes cutting-edge heat removal via passive thermal tecniques and active forced-air cooling (depending on the product), specifically designed to maintain LED efficiency while extending fixture's lifetime.
SGM's TruColorTM luminaires use an enhanced color engine that improves accuracy and consistency both for color mixing and low-end dimming, while using the same procedures to match the SGM color palette.
SGM's integrated patented Dehumidification process eliminates humidity and breaks down corrosive molecules deriving from polluted air to avoid destructive corrosion. Inbuilt dehumidifiers constantly remove trapped hydrogen from inside of the lighting fixture in a solid estate electrolytic process with no moving parts. The DryTechTM procedure is also based on a Ingress Protection rating of 65 or 66 (depending on the fixture), intended as a full protection against dust and other particles, while ensuring protection against direct water jets.

LED Technology
The G-7 Spot features a powerful 350W white LED engine with a sharp and flexible optical performance. Taking advantage of the patented, proven, and punished SGM All-Weather technology, this fixture is the perfect workhorse for rental applications, including true IP66-rating in a mid-size and compact assembly. The LEDs expected lifetime is 20,000 hours.
Optics
The G-7 Spot optical system is designed to ensure sharpness and control in any available beam angle. The combination between lightsource and lenses in the whole 6° to 39° zoom range, is capable of a remarkable performance in different applications, and therefore ideal for touring, corporate events, or temporary installs. The high-quality 115mm front lens ensures a large visual impact, while keeping a sharp beam of light. A High-CRI filter is included to fit the most demanding needs.
Photometrics
With 16000 verified lumen in full white, the G-7 Spot is the brightest white-engine LED moving spot ever made by SGM. It outputs lumen per kilogram, maintaining the native 6500K color temperature at a constant level over its entire lifetime. Because of the IP66-rating, the internal optics are always clean, resulting in maximum brightness from the light source at all times.
Colors
The G-7 Spot is a CMY color-mixing moving head, designed to match the SGM RGB color palette. Its advanced dichroic color mixing system with RGB macros ensures a revolutionary way to mix colors. One extra wheel with 5 colors, CTB filter and a linear CTO are also available. This powerful spot has been developed with a big focus in chromatic performance.
IP rating
The durable IP66-rating of the G-7 Spot ensures that the unit is kept free from externally induced particles and liquids, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor installations as well.
Dehumidification
The internal built-in dehumidifier protects this fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification, not only removes humidity, but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks. Thermal management
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, this bright and accurate luminaire is optimized to manage heat impact through SGM's unique thermal management technology. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminium alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion while the fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal performance at any time and under any conditions (such as variable temperatures, limited airflows, confined installation spaces, etc.).
Like all SGM products, the G-7 Spot consists of SGM's superior thermal management technology and it is tested under extreme hot and cold conditions, which ensures that the LEDs always operate within safe parameters. Learn more about SGM thermal management.
Mounting options
The G-7 Spot can be rigged with the included easy-fit omega brackets with ¼ turn fasteners, using two of the four locking points. Installation time can be saved onsite as the fixtures can be pre-rigged to HUD truss, making the rig fly-ready when reaching the venue. Handles can be found in the base as well to help users mount the fixture.

TruColorTM
SGM uses Full Range Calibration in all LED fixtures over CIE space and black body curve, measured via spectrometer and SGM Illumination Lab software. To provide the best user experience, SGM's Color Match procedure ensures accurate wavelength reproduction within the product range via colored LEDs, dichroic filters, or CMY mixing (depending on the product); all of them specified to match the SGM color palette.
