The i-6 is a narrow-beam wash which provides long-throw performance. Its tight beam can deliver a remarkable amount of light and powerful colors exactly where needed, reaching the furthest parts of your installation, while avoiding light pollution. It is a single-head, compact LED luminaire that establishes a new benchmark for wall washing and accent lighting, thanks to its advanced optical design.

Delivering 1,575 lux / 146 fc* at 30 m / 98.5 ft.distance, the i-6 is a single-head, compact LED luminaire that establishes a new benchmark for wall washing and accent lighting, thanks to its advanced optical design. With adjustable power consumption, and a weight of just 14.5 kg (31.9 lbs), the i-6 is a precise yet flexible tool for architectural lighting. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.
2.3º and 3.2º x 3.4º option
With a difference of just 1.9 degrees* between beam and field angle, the i-6 is the most accurate long-throw wash in the SGM portfolio. This narrow beam projection is the optimal solution t o avoid light spill. Combined with the other native beam angles of the SGM i, P and Q Series, the i-6 completes the wash fixture package as a precise, special-purpose luminaire.
Extremely bright whites, and powerful colors
The i-6 includes 9 single-color white LEDs which deliver an impressive punch, even in the most challenging conditions. Its RGBW LED layout is based on SGM TruColor™ technology and is optimized for delivering the brightest saturated colors, while enhancing the overall performance when using color temperature control. The i-6 incorporates the SGM color palette and is fully compatible with all SGM RGB-based washes. The i-6 also features the new SGM VersaPath™, 6 color mixing modes, and 12 dimming curves.
NextGen design platform with unique SGM technologies
Reliability is central to the design of the i-6. With an IP66 rating, integrated dehumidifier via the SGM DryTech™ system, and a sealed IP67 base, the i-6 is a very durable fixture. Additionally, the i-6 POI encompasses next-gen ThermalDrive™ management, a 5-year warranty, CX marine corrosion protection, and sensor monitoring over wireless RDM. Made in Denmark with premium components and extensive testing, the i-6 goes beyond high-quality manufacturing.
Full control via Studio Mode
The i-6 includes the powerful SGM DMX Studio Mode, expanding its capabilities through a number of advanced features. Select different dimming curves, choose your preferred RGB CTC, RGBW CTC, CMY, HSI or XY color mode, adjust fan speed to reduce noise, change the LED frequency rate, and increase or reduce the peaks of green in the white output. The durable IP66-rating of the i-6 ensures that the unit is kept free from externally induced particles and liquids, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being practically maintenance-free makes it a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor events and installations as well.
The internal built-in dehumidifier protects this fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification, not only removes humidity, but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks. To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, this bright and accurate luminaire is optimized to manage heat impact through SGM's unique thermal management technology. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminium alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion while the fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal performance at any time and under any conditions (such as variable temperatures, limited airflows, confined installation spaces, etc.).
Like all SGM products, the i-6 consists of SGM's superior thermal management technology and it is tested under extreme hot and cold conditions, which ensures that the LEDs always operate within safe parameters. Learn more about SGM thermal management.
Because of its integrated handle and included omega brackets, the SGM i-6 is easy to transport, to rig, and to focus. It can be orientated in any position and it comes with 2 x 2 ¼ turn locking points to allow the use of one or two clamps. The built-in safety wire eyelet in the base protects the unit when rigged.
Included SGM technologies
This thermal management techonology provides Advaced Temperature Control monitored via sensors and software, keeping optimal LED junction temperatures, and ensuring maximum reliability for long-term use. The ThermalDriveTM system includes cutting-edge heat removal via passive thermal tecniques and active forced-air cooling (depending on the product), specifically designed to maintain LED efficiency while extending fixture's lifetime.
SGM uses Full Range Calibration in all LED fixtures over CIE space and black body curve, measured via spectrometer and SGM Illumination Lab software. To provide the best user experience, SGM's Color Match procedure ensures accurate wavelength reproduction within the product range via colored LEDs, dichroic filters, or CMY mixing (depending on the product); all of them specified to match the SGM color palette.
SGM's integrated patented Dehumidification process eliminates humidity and breaks down corrosive molecules deriving from polluted air to avoid destructive corrosion. Inbuilt dehumidifiers constantly remove trapped hydrogen from inside of the lighting fixture in a solid estate electrolytic process with no moving parts. The DryTechTM procedure is also based on a Ingress Protection rating of 65 or 66 (depending on the fixture), intended as a full protection against dust and other particles, while ensuring protection against direct water jets.
