LED Technology
Each LD-5 product contains 1 pixel with 180º viewing angle. The light source consists of 4 x RGB LEDs with SMD technology. In order to configure and control up to 35 domes in a single chain, the optional LD-5 power supply unit and power injector cable are needed. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours hours.

Control
An entire LD-5 system can be controlled via DMX-512A as well as with a dedicated video server or ordinary PC with ArtNet™ (the ArtNet signal is then distributed by a third party ArtNet to DMX Converter). SGM can supply optional Power+Data DL-1 injector cables to control the units via DMX.

Construction
The LD-5 consists of an opaque UV resistant PMM dome with a diameter of 60mm / 2.4in, surrounded by a satin aluminum bezel resulting in an outer diameter of 80mm / 3.1in. It is constructed to be semi-recessed into cut-out with a diameter of 66mm / 2.6in and a maximum material thickness of 20mm / 0.8in.

IP rating
The LD-5 front is IP65 (front of product), IP 20 (back of product)-rated, while the back of the product is IP20. The durable IP65 (front of product), IP 20 (back of product)-rating of the LD-5 ensures that the units are kept free of externally induced particles and liquids, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being practically maintenance-free makes it a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor events and installations as well.

Mounting options
The LD-5 can be attached to any kind of surface, as long as it fits the physical dimensions of the dome. It comes with flush mount for easy installation. DC power and data go directly through one RJ45 input and one RJ45 output.
