SGM provides the lighting for the Ford F-150 Lightning launch
The versatile P-10 provided an intense array for illuminating the space at the Ford's key event
On May 19, 2021, the new Ford F-150 Lightning was revealed at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, USA, and livestreamed for millions to watch.
The Ford World Headquarters building itself played a central role as a huge 64,000 square foot video wall for the event. And in addition to this screen, lighting to both frame the screen and provide effects were used throughout the event.
P-10 delivers versatility
SGM provided over forty P-10s to frame the top of the building. With multiple control segments and wireless control capability, the P-10s were used to perform chases, recreate lightning type effects, served as compliment to video content, or were simply used as a multi-colored audience blinders.
The P-10 is designed to be a powerful and versatile wash luminaire, and it provided the event designers an incredibly intense array with which to illuminate the event space, even hundreds of feet away.
Seen by over a million people on Ford's website as well as its official social media channels, this was a key event for Ford. The F150 has been the best-selling vehicle in the USA for years and the launch event was a major statement from a manufacturer of a new all-electric truck.
