This thermal management techonology provides Advaced Temperature Control monitored via sensors and software, keeping optimal LED junction temperatures, and ensuring maximum reliability for long-term use. The ThermalDriveTM system includes cutting-edge heat removal via passive thermal tecniques and active forced-air cooling (depending on the product), specifically designed to maintain LED efficiency while extending fixture's lifetime.
The G-1 Beam is the first powerful battery-driven moving head for outdoor use. Its lightweight and compact design provides a fast, easy and accurate solution for stage events, corporate productions, TV sets, car shows and any other installation that needs reliability, versatility and a quick setup. The results are high contrast levels and extreme brightness in a small physical footprint at a low power consumption. The G-1 Beam can be ordered with or without batteries, installed with a remote base, or without any base at all.
LED Technology
The G-1 Beam is a small and reliable LED luminaire with a powerful w white LED engine. Unlike other fixtures in its range, the G-1 Beam can operate during the rain, delivering a sharp and crisp beam with almost no safety distance to surrounding objects (0.3 m minimum distance). The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.
Battery and wired operation
Being a 100% wireless moving head, the G-1 Beam offers a vast variety of options for your setup. However, the G-1 Beam can also be wired (with or without batteries). When used as a battery-driven fixture, the G-1 Beam offers an impressive 12 - 14 hours operation in typical use.
Projection
One of the big benefits of the G-1 Beam is its defined beam of light. The gobo projection is focused in a very detailed way, so the pattern is clearly visible at any moment. Even when 2.8º is the native aperture in the G-1 Beam, it is also possible to obtain a narrower beam angle by using the physical pseudo-zoom adjustable down to 0.3º. A shake effect is also available for all gobo designs.
Special movement features
The G-1 Beam includes a fast endless pan movement feature, which truly expands the possibilities when programming the fixture. Furthermore, with the G-1 Beam, SGM has introduced a patent pending position pre-set programming. Thanks to this feature, it is possible to program up to nine internal pan / tilt presets that can be combined with up to eight internal standalone programs.
IP rating
The durable IP65-rating of the G-1 Beam luminaire ensures that the fixture is kept free of externally induced particles and liquids on internal optics and light sources, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. Thereby, the need to clean optics or gobos is eliminated and no internal corrosion will occur. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor events and installations as well.
Dehumidification
The internal built-in dehumidifier protects this fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification not only removes humidity but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks. Photometrics
The G-1 Beam delivers no less than 53244 luxes at 3m, which is a staggering light output for a LED fixture of this size. It gives the necessary brightness to create tight mid-air beams and sharp effects, while keeping a good f-stop for cameras and a 0.3 m minimum safety distance to objects.
Thermal management
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, this bright and accurate luminaire is optimized to manage heat impact through SGM's unique thermal management technology. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminum alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion.
Like all SGM LED products, the G-1 Beam consists of SGM's superior thermal management technology and tested under extreme hot and cold conditions, which ensures that the LEDs always operate within safe parameters. Learn more about SGM thermal management
Mounting options
The G-1 Beam comes in two varieties: with or without the base unit. With the base, usability is diverse since batteries can be inserted, and thus positioning is independent from any power source proximity. Without the base, the G-1 Beam can be mounted onto the ceiling, in a rig or in a wall mount. In this case, the base can be placed remotely as power supply, or the head can be powered through an external power supply.
Included SGM technologies
ThermalDriveTM
This thermal management techonology provides Advaced Temperature Control monitored via sensors and software, keeping optimal LED junction temperatures, and ensuring maximum reliability for long-term use. The ThermalDriveTM system includes cutting-edge heat removal via passive thermal tecniques and active forced-air cooling (depending on the product), specifically designed to maintain LED efficiency while extending fixture's lifetime.
TruColorTM
SGM uses Full Range Calibration in all LED fixtures over CIE space and black body curve, measured via spectrometer and SGM Illumination Lab software. To provide the best user experience, SGM's Color Match procedure ensures accurate wavelength reproduction within the product range via colored LEDs, dichroic filters, or CMY mixing (depending on the product); all of them specified to match the SGM color palette.
