P-2 and P-5 wash lights performing in architectural lightshow in Lithuania
SGM’s P-2 and P-5 wash lights were deliberately chosen by Leggato, to be part of an amazing light show in Lithuania. The jaw-dropping show took place on a well-visited and treasured Roman Catholic church in Lithuania’s second-largest city, Kaunas.
To celebrate Lithuania’s national holiday, the Restoration of Independence Day, event and rental company Leggato created a spectacular and colorful light show on the well-visited St. Michael the Archangel’s Church using SGM’s P-2 and P-5 wash lights.
The popular 19th century Roman Catholic church, conveying an unusual architectural style, mixing the neo-Byzantine five-dome design with the columns of the Corinthian architecture, is placed in close proximity to the main pedestrian street in Lithuania’s second-largest city, Kaunas.
In order to create this jaw-dropping show for the public of Kaunas, it was important to consider the unique features of the church, whereas, Leggato explained how the event called upon “not only the need of modern LED lighting technology, but also creative design skills.”
With the combination of Leggato’s amazing design skills, and the technology of SGM’s P-5 and P-2 wash lights, SGM’s partner in Lithuania was able to accomplish their ambitious vision of illuminating the church from the ground up the pillars and over the arcs and the roof domes.
Having worked in many different areas of the lighting business – from organization and design to technical support to installation and production and knowing, Leggato knew the challenge of the task. Crediting SGM’s luminaires for their big role in the event, Leggato underlined how SGM’s P-2 and P-5 wash lights played a big impact on successfully transforming this sacred building into a colorful palette of artwork.
